Artemis
Artemis was the goddess of the moon. She had a silver chariot pulled by huge deer and carried silver bow and arrows.
When Hera found out that her Husband, Zeus had impregnated Leda, she sent a monstrous snake to kill the mother and twin children. Apollo and Artemis, though still infants, were able to outsmart and kil the snake. Artemis would grow up to be the "tomboy" of the Greek Pantheon, taking an interest in outdoor sports and dressing in a non-feminine style. She was famous for raising orphaned animals. She was a protector of woodland creatures, the environment and would punish any arrogant or cruel human. (Sounds like every dyke I know) She was called the Virgin huntress, never took any interest in men, and advocated that marriage was a repugnant form of slavery.
Once a man, Actaeon, accidentally spotted Artemis bathing nude in the river. When she caught him she transformed him into a stag (deer) and had her hunting dogs tear him to pieces.
She had a swarm of women followers also known as nymphs. Among them was Atlantea the most famous woman hunter/ athlete in ancient times. (Atlantea procliamed that she would only marry if a man could beat her in a foot race. They couldn't, Melanion had to cheat to win.)
Selene was the goddess of the sky and a companion to Artemis. Iphigenia was a lover and the head priestess of the cult of Artemis.
The closest companion to Artemis was the human Calisto. Zeus disguised himself as Artemis to seduce Calisto. Calisto realized it wasn't Artemis when she got pregnant. Artemis was so enraged that she turned Calisto into a bear and shot her down with arrows. Artemis then went before her father, Zeus and step-mom, Hera to vent her displeasure; she got her ears boxed and was sent home crying.
Artemis had saved many women from rapist men including Arethusa and Iphigenia.
Artemis did take an interest in the man Orion. It's not clear if they were lovers or just friends, she was impressed by Orion' s hunting skills, the two became close. Her twin, Apollo thought it would be funny to change Orion into a wild animal. The joke got Orion killed. Artemis got revenge by killing Apollo's lover Hyacinth.
The band of female followers eventually moved to Ephesus then to Cappadocia whose capitol city was Themiscyra. These women would eventually call themselves Amazons.

Chaos
Chaos<
Chaos is a primordial deity. And like the Primordial deities of other mythologies it is androgynous; neither male or female, but having qualities of both. It is the empty space that existed before the foundation of the cosmos, the yawning void. According to Greek Mythology Chaos spontaneously gave birth to Gaea (mass & female) and Uranous (energy & male) These two would go on to give birth to everything and everyone else.
Some stories differ in the telling but according to some interpretations Chaos also gave birth to Tartarus (the afterlife) Erebrus (night) and some say Eros (love). Other stories say Chaos created Erebus and it was night that created love.
Today the word Chaos is still very much in use to describe confusion and disorder, but its original meaning was more like deadweight and slumber.
