Sam Thorp Part of Visual Aids show.
Postcards From the Edge is a Visual AIDS benefit show and sale of original, postcard-sized works on paper by established and emerging artists. All works are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. The works are signed on the back and exhibited so the artists' signatures cannot be seen. While buyers receive a list of all participating artists, they don't know who created which piece until purchased. All proceeds support the programs of Visual AIDS.

Most Wanted: Internationally
I was asked by the gallery, Most Wanted Fine Art, to curate an art show of International artists, especially women artists. I thought of these ladies. We all met on a fan discussion board about 5 years ago. We kept in touch on the fan board and through various other social networks. (Deviant Art, Myspace, Facebook, MSN, etc.) Over the years I have seen these ladies produce art (drawings, paintings, photos, designs) and I have witnessed them grow and mature into impressive creative talents. This is the result:
This will be the first time many of them have shown in America. In a few cases the first time they have shown in a gallery setting at all. Freaturing the Premier Issue of Battlefield Saints, a collection of some of the best emerging artists who work, show & live in Western PA. The Pittsburgh Zine Fair will feature over 30 local vendors, including zine distributors, small press publishers, writers, comic book makers, illustrators, book store zine collections, and even the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's very own zine library!
